A smooth gradient from pale sea glass to deep teal, with a faint horizon glow. The composition is a slow colour transition rather than a scene: no subject, no horizon, and no hard edge, so the image stays calm at any crop. The top of the cover is intentionally soft, which gives dark clock text more contrast; white text may rely on the system shadow. On the inner display, the pale field keeps widgets readable without a heavy scrim.

Palette and mood

Sea glass, pale turquoise, deep teal, and a faint white glow. The top of the cover is intentionally soft, which gives dark clock text more contrast; white text may rely on the system shadow. On the inner display, the pale field keeps widgets readable without a heavy scrim.

Best used for

  • A cool light lock screen with a calm gradient.
  • A colourful wallpaper without an image.
  • Minimal and gradient setups.
  • Devices used for reading and browsing.

How the cover and inner crops work

Cover screen

The portrait crop keeps the top light and the gradient smooth. The cover keeps the top slightly deeper and the transitions soft, so white or dark clock text has a stable field.

Inner display

The wide crop carries the teal gradient across the display, with no subject. The wide crop spreads the colour field across the display with no central subject, so widgets stay readable.

Crop and setup notes

The Cover file is portrait and the Inner file is landscape. Set each file on its matching display, and preview the crop before confirming. Keep the main subject away from the top edge of the cover screen, where the clock and status area sit, and away from the camera cutout. The previews on this page are compressed WebP files; always download the original before setting it. If you use the image on a different phone, start with the Cover file for a portrait screen and the Inner file for a tablet or desktop, then crop to fit.

Frequently asked questions

Is Ocean Gradient too bright for night use?
It is a light-to-mid gradient, so it is brighter than a dark set. If you use your phone in bed, choose a darker gradient such as Indigo Veil.
Will the gradient band on an OLED screen?
A fine grain is built into the image to reduce visible banding. If your screen still shows bands, use the PNG download instead of the WebP preview.
Will the clock be readable?
The top of the cover is slightly deeper than the rest, so white text has a better field. Pale clock styles may need the system shadow.

Pairs well with

Pair it with Ocean Mist for a sea sequence, or with Mint Silk for a cooler pastel set. Both sets use soft colour transitions, so the pair feels like one palette study.
